Whatever you want to accomplish,
it all begins in your mind
Come to the Toronto Hypnosis Clinic and develop the necessary success mindset, which you must have to make your success a reality
It is rather obvious that unless you develop a success mindset - success will not become a part of your life.
Evelyn Underhill in her 100 year old book, entitled Practical Mysticism, writes about the absolute necessity of the success engendering mindset, as it applies to the achievement of the mystical level of consciousness.
In the following fragment she presents first, the opposite of the success engendering mindset, and then proceeds to elucidate what the necessary - in all areas of endeavor - success mindset is really about.
If your prevalent state of mind resembles the following description, success will keep on eluding you in your life.
“His mind is full of little whirlpools, twists and currents, conflicting systems, incompatible desires.
One after another, he centers himself on ambition, love, duty, friendship, social convention, politics, religion, self-interest in one of its myriad forms; making of each a core round which whole sections of his life are arranged.
One after another, these things either fail him or enslave him. Sometimes they become obsessions, distorting his judgement, narrowing his outlook, colouring his whole existence.
Sometimes they develop inconsistent characters which involve him in public difficulties, private compromises and self-deceptions of every kind.
They split his attention, fritter his powers.
His world is in a muddle, just because he has tried to arrange its major interests around himself; and he is neither strong enough, nor clever enough for the job.
He has made a wretched little whirlpool in the mighty River of Becoming, interrupting - as he imagines, in his own interest - its even flow: and within that whirlpool are numerous petty complexes and counter-currents, amongst which his will and attention fly to and fro in a continual state of unrest.”
On the other hand...
“The man who makes a success of his life, in any department, is he who has chosen one from amongst these claims and interests, and devoted to it his energetic powers of heart and will; unifying himself about it, and from within it resisting all counter claims.
He has one objective, one center; has killed out the lesser ones, and simplified himself.
Now, the artist, the discoverer, the philosopher, the lover, the patriot - the true enthusiast for any form of life - can only achieve the full reality to which his special art or passion gives access by innumerable renunciations.
He must kill out the smaller centers of interest, in order that his whole will, love, and attention may pour itself out towards, seize upon, unite with, that special manifestation of the beauty and significance of the universe to which he is drawn.”
The above quoted fragment speaks of the necessity of the attainment of the success mindset as it applies to the achievement of such an esoteric goal as the mystical level of consciousness.
The following quote form Donald Trump’s: The Art of the Deal, is surprisingly similar to what Evelyn Underhill wrote in her book devoted to the art of connecting with God:
“One of the keys to thinking big is total focus. I think of it almost as a controlled neurosis, which is a quality I’ve noticed in many highly successful entrepreneurs.
They’re obsessive, they’re driven, they’re single minded and sometimes they’re almost maniacal, but it’s all channeled into their work. Where other people are paralyzed by neurosis, the people I’m talking about are actually helped by it.
I don’t say this trait leads to a happier life, or a better life, but it’s great when it comes to getting what you want.”
Evelyn Underhill, the most literate mystic of the 20th century and Donald Trump, one of the most successful entrepreneurs on the planet, at the first glance, may seem to have nothing in common.
Upon taking a closer look however, we realize that they both share the same views and observations on the nature of success in general, and the necessity of the attainment of the success mindset in particular.
Let’s take a look at another juxtaposition of the two other totally different people, representing totally different realms of experience, and see how they agree in the most amazing way on the principles of success, and the necessity of the attainment of the success mindset.
St. Paul in his first letter to Corinthians chapter 2, writes:
“For while I was with you, I made up my mind to forget everything except Jesus Christ and especially his death on the cross”.
St. Paul’s task - the task of converting others - was a very difficult business indeed. It required a very special and at the same time common to all successful ventures success mindset.
As the above quote suggests, it obviously required of him an intense focus of the mind.
Nothing except Jesus Christ and especially his death on the cross could occupy St. Paul’s mind if he were to succeed in his work of conversion.
Napoleon Hill the creator of the bible of the financial success, entitled Think and Grow Rich, wrote:
“You may as well know, right here, that you can never have riches in great quantities unless you can work yourself into a white heat of desire for money, and actually believe you will possess it”.
What is that “white heat of desire for money” if not a success mindset, characterized by the complete single-mindedness of purpose, which Napoleon Hill professes to be the absolute necessity of all those who want to attain riches in great quantities.
In his statement about the success mindset necessity, Napoleon Hill is identical to St. Paul, who applies the same principle in his own field of endeavor.
As you can see, the most successful people in the world, regardless of their fields of endeavor, and those who wrote about the most successful people, unanimously agree on the absolute success mindset necessity.
What does the success mindset necessity mean in your own life?
I don’t know what you want to accomplish. What I do know about you is that, unless you are able to develop a success mindset appropriate for your own particular field of activity, you will never attain success.
The above statement has the unpleasant ring of a threat, but it really does reflect your earthly mental reality.
The ancient Biblical proverb says: “All things begin in the mind”, and so it is with your success.
It is not an easy task to develop a success mindset, which is the most appropriate one for you, and which harmonizes with your own particular situation in life.
The task of the development and the ongoing maintenance of your own success engendering mindset never really ends, because of your unavoidable evolution of consciousness.
What seemed appropriate, what was stimulating and motivating you yesterday may not necessarily work tomorrow.
The development and the ongoing maintenance of the success mindset are the most basic necessities of every success-oriented person.
